What to Wear: Shower, Bachelorette, and the Big Day!

Wedding season is in full swing and we are jonesing for some party perfect dresses to
wear to all of our pre-wedding soirees!

For the shower...

No matter if you are sipping on Mimosas, munching tea sandwiches, fawning over the latest set of pots and pans, or making toilet paper wedding dresses, the Leona Clarissa dress will make sure you are the second most beautiful shower attendee (second only to the bride, of course).

For the bachelorette party...

With the big day coming up, it's time to celebrate the bride's single-self one last time! The new hi-low gown from twobirds is the perfect combination of comfort and style so you can get down while looking GOOD!

For the ceremony...

This spring is all about fun, fresh styles (is it Spring yet?) and with loads of weddings on the horizon, consider the LulaKate Hampton dress to wear the day of as a guest. How can the cute groomsmen, fancy footed grandfather, or hipster DJ resist?

Real Wedding Q&A

Classic Vintage Chic...

How did you meet your Fiance?
We are from the same hometown, so we've known each other for a while. We worked at the same summer camp growing up. He was my little brother's camp counselor and that's when my parents fell in love with him. My father was his mentor for medical school and told him to ask me out on a date. "But Dr. Tuttle, she has a boyfriend, and I have a girlfriend..." And the rest is history...
How did you choose the location for your wedding? What type of venue were you looking for?
Both of our parents got married in Charleston. I was attending MUSC in Charleston when we got engaged, so we found it fitting to get married there. We got married at the MUSC Chapel and the reception was across the street at this beautiful old white house. The fact that our guests could walk right across the street after the ceremony to the reception sold us! We had a bagpipe player leading the guests across the street after the ceremony - It was magical!

How did you decide on your bridesmaids dresses?
I took my two best friends and sister into Bella with me and they tried on the three dresses I had it narrowed down to - all Amsale. I knew that I wanted my girls in long dresses and in charcoal grey and my sister (MOH) in champagne in a different style - to make her stand out. My sister picked her style and my two best friends picked the style for the rest of my bridesmaids.

Who designed your bridal gown?
Modern Trousseau - highly recommend!

What was your favorite part of the day?

After walking down the aisle, my husband whispered into my ear the location of our honeymoon. He planned it all and kept it a secret until literally a minute after we said our vows!
What inspired you when you were planning your big day?
Honestly, I pinned style ideas on Pinterest and looked through weddings on The Wedding Row and other similar blogs. My wedding planner and mother helped to make it all come together perfectly!

What advice do you have for other brides?
I have already advised my friends who are engaged to not sweat the small stuff - especially all of the little details, because nobody remembers them anyways! And to enjoy this season of their lives... it goes by so quickly!
