Summer Time Series

Sunscreen? Check. Ice, cold drink in hand? Check. Sunglasses? Check. Cozy beach towel? Check. Now for a great read to keep you entertained while you catch some rays! We asked our Bella gals to share some books they deem to be great beach or poolside reads for your summer vacation. Whether you want some history, humor, classics or even stories of vampires our Bella's have got you covered...

1. Nineteen Minutes - Jody Picoult... Sandy/ Cleveland OH "Anything by Jodi Picoult. She makes great beach reads - intriguing page turners that aren't too heavy."

2. The Night Circus - Erin Morgenstern... Maribeth & Madison / Westport CT "An oldie, but goodie... nice for those days on the beach."

3. Moloka'i - Alan Brennert... Blair/ Dallas TX "A great read of historical fiction set on the Hawaiian island of Moloka'i."

4. Beneath a Marble Sky - John Shors... Rae Anne/ Denver CO " A love story intertwined with the creation and building of the Taj Mahal. Plus he is a Colorado author!"

5. The Hunger Game Series - Suzanne Collins... Trinh/ Orange County CA "I'm kind of addicted to the Hunger Games Trilogy... It's an easy, fun summer read!"

6. The Sookie Stackhouse Series - Charlaine Harris... Whitney/ Baltimore MD "The beach is where I find myself catching up on the must read series- this year I'm thinking of starting The Sookie Stackhouse series since I love HBO's True Blood, which is based on these novels."

7. Shanghai Girls - Lisa See... Brittan/ Boston MA "My favorite book is Shanghai Girls by Lisa See.  Its an amazing story about 2 sisters from Shanghai that journey to Los Angeles in 1937. The story is amazing with sisterhood, friendship, romance, deception - all the good components to a great beach read!"

8. Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? - Mindy Kaling... Haley/ Houston TX "I just started this book and she's hilarious. Not my favorite character on The Office, but she is hysterical as a writer."

9. Fifty Shades of Grey - E L James... Jamie/ Las Vegas NV "Of course Fifty Shades of Gray is a hit right now, so I'm dying to read it!"

10. The Great Gatsby - F. Scott Fitzgerald... Lacey/ Washington DC "I'm super excited about The Great Gatsby movie coming out this fall, so I have to reread the book!"

Happy reading!

          xoxo,
               Bella
